Had a great night last night in the Barracuda. Sutty asked me to go because he's fucking off to Leeds so I felt, as a good friend of his for 3 years now, I should go. And I did, with Andy, Blakely, Kate, Laura (Who's also shipping herself off to Leeds), and Flynny. Got there to find Pete and Sutty decked up in suave looking suits. VERY sexy ladies. Met Jemma Holden and her sexy friends Maxine and Susan, met Jenny Anne (Who is also friggin' off to Leeds and ended up getting a taxi with us home.) and I saw some gobshites from my Screen Studies course who i can't be arsed with. Bunch of fucking fakes. Overall, an excellent night! Which was surprising considering I didn't get bladdered.
Just finished watching Amelie with our Lee. It's the second time I have watched it and it's a wonderful film. But for our Lee, it was the first foreign film he'd ever watched so it was quite an event for him. And I was touched by something he said halfway through, about how watching it made him want to write a script for a movie. It always means a lot to me when watching a film with someone and it's their first time watching it, and they say how it has had an effect on them, regardless of how little or large. He enjoyed Amelie, and said he'd never turn away from a subtitled film ever again, without giving it a chance first anyway. If like me, you enjoy the little thing in life, watch this film. If like me you, love the feel of crunching snow under your feet when you're walking, watch this film. If like me, seeing someone special to you smile without them realising it makes you happy, then watch this film. If like me, you love the feel of a single tear sliding down your face when you've cried (and yes i've cried, on many an occasion), then watch this film. It's not the best film ever, and it's not the worst either. It's just nice. And if you want to feel just nice, then watch this film.
Au revoir...
