Long time no see. I'm back from a LONG weekend in Leeds, and have got a lot of catching up to do I suppose. Anyways, you'll probably want to know which artists / groups I saw, so here's the list and my thoughts on them, in no particular order...

50 Cent - Awful. I mean, he shouldn't have even been there in the first place. The guy got bottled in Reading, and only lasted 25 mins there. The fact he lasted the full hour in Leeds was amazing, as the crowd just seemed so bored of him, while they eagerly awaited Green Day's appearance. The fact he had gunshots ring out at the end of every fucking song also didn't help matters. Like he isn't your stereotypical 'gangsta' rapper as it is.

Lost Prophets - Good. I'd seen them once before, I think it was 3 years ago now? Maybe 2. But anyway, they were good, but could have been better. The sound weren't quite there, and you either heard loads of vocals and next to no music, or vice versa. So it was kinda mixed. But was nice to see the Welsh chaps again.

Mike Patton vs Rahzel - Amazing. Simply amazing. Patton is a god, and can seemingly do no wrong. Rahzel, who i'd never heard of before the Friday night, was also very impressive, but I went there to see Patton, and it was a very moving experience. If you don't know the guy, don't worry, I barely knew of him even a year ago, but now i've fallen in love with any music he's ever been involved with. It was kinda weird to see this prog metal / experimentalist go from that, to beat-boxing in a dance tent! But he blew me away. He even put Justin Timberlake to shame, and for me to say that takes a shitload of courage. :P

The Libertines - Boring. Laura (Andy's girlfriend) told me she'd had mixed experiences of them live in the past, but told me it could be a good performance. It wasn't. they seem very uninspiring, and just couldn't hold my attention. Becky and Dave Blakely both fell asleep during this performance, which isn't a good sign.

Franz Ferdinand - Could have been good if the sound weren't shit. They played my fave 'Matinee', tho I think everyone just about likes that one.

Morrissey - Very good. I know our Lee and Dave B both love the guy, as well as his work with The Smiths, but i've never been a big fan of his. Only cos' i've never given him a chance. While he wasn't amazing, he was a great crowd lifter, and I enjoyed a few of the songs, especially the one about some kid's dad who's voice is fucked up because he swallowed something which got stuck in his throat when he was younger. True story.

White Stripes - Godlike. I've enjoyed their music in the past, but seeing them live was a truly different experience altogether. I even fell in love with one of their songs i'd never heard before, called 'You've Got Her in Your Pocket'. It was very reminiscent of early Rush music, which was probably the hook for me, so it was great. The performance took a turn for the better when it started pissing down, yet no-one gave a shit. Also, I was SO close to the front, that unless someone tall was in front of me, I could see Jack and Meg White very closely. It was a fantastic show, and an extremely perfect way of ending a fantastic weekend of music. Kudos to the Stripes, i'm going to be giving them a huge chance with their music now.

The Darkness - Uplifting. They're not my favourite group in the world; in fact, based on their singles, I fucking hated them. But seeing them live was a totally different kettle of fish. Justin seemed like he really enjoyed being up there on the stage, he was very funny and interactive with the crowd between songs, and his costume changes were just a touch of genius. Their singles might suck, but their unreleased songs off 'Permission to Land' are a definite breath of fresh air.

The Offspring - Acceptable. i'm no huge fan of them, so I won't go into detail on this one. But they seemed OK enough.

The Streets - ...yes, they're shit. But they're one of those groups who are so shit, they're good. A bit like the Mr. Nanny of the music world really. However, the crowd seemed into it, and as they seem a fucking joke to me, I kinda found it acceptable to have them there at Leeds. They're more wanted than fucking 50 Cent that's for sure! (Gunshot noise)

So that was about it. I think there may have been another band or two I saw, but I can't for the life of me remember now. Overall, it was a great weekend, tho I DID take a whitey on the first night after having one too many spacecakes in far too short a time. There were one or two things which did bug me, but I think i can learn from them enough to enjoy the festival even more next year if I go. Oh, and the toilets weren't THAT bad... they were manageable. :P tho the jam-rag art in the holes is certainly intriguing. As was the dead foetus floating amongst the mountains of shit. Top-gear.

Back to normality, it was a shame to see only 3 comments following my links blitz in my last update, but I can only live in hope that more than 3 people DID enjoy them. They took me quite a while to get together, so i hoped people would get a kick out of them... either way, if you haven't checked them out, don't hesitate to! There's some real gold ones there!

Until next time... adieu...

I just read over on the fascinating www.allmusic.com that Beavis and Butthead once featured Ween's 'Push Th' Little Daisies' on their shit show, and panned it to fuck! Shit, my hatred for that retarded show grows more and more...

Anyway, you're still waiting for the links? Well i'm still working on em'. Expect around 30+ of the bastards tho. That SHOULD keep you all interested for a while... until you start demanding more random shit updates from me. But don't you lot worry. It'll be up by this weekend. :)

I really oughta post more at the moment, but I just ain't feeling it right now. It's been a long and lonely day, and I just feel like relaxing. This was merely me telling you i'm still alive really. As if you worried. :D

Wow, nostalgia! Ain't it great! Of course, for some, it's all about TV shows, or movies they saw as a kid. For me, i'm one of those odd cases who sees Video Games as a great portrait of my upbringing. Sure, I loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja / Hero Turtles, Trap Door, Postman Pat, Danger Mouse, and so on. But I just don't like talking about these at all compared to talking about the likes of Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog (1 & 2 especially), The Legend of Zelda, F-Zero, Kid Chameleon, Splatterhouse, Rayman, Tetris, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Time, Secret of Evermore, Final Fantasy 7... I could go on. But I won't. Because there's a lot of people who read my blog and are reading this thinking, "What the fuck, I never realised he was a geek into his fucking games!" It's just what you're into really I guess. I understand why the term geek is used, but I dunno, I see games as the ultimate form of entertainment. You ARE the game, you control it, you feel it, you see your actions unfold, you hear them unfold. Sure it's often a 1-man thing in playing a game, but still, i've been swamped by a game in the past, especially when I was younger, and i'd forget there was a world outside. That's not an embarrassing thing. To be truly emotionally touched by a game is a sickeningly rare thing, but when it happens, boy do you feel it. I don't think I can anymore. I've lost the innocence that went hand-in-hand with feeling a part of a game, like you could when you were younger. Which is a shame, because the feeling i'd used to get playing Super Mario World, or hearing the ending theme to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the first, there's nothing like it. If you can enjoy these things, then fucking do it! I know i've got my library of consoles stacked for when I retire as an old man, and spend the rest of my days playing the classics. :D

First of all, I grinned massively when Jen (in my last updates comments box) thought that the mish-mash of keyboard on the Salad Fingers theory site was Dumbo with some ant dude on him? :D

Here's what she's talking about (If it fits on my blog!!!!):

Can you see what it is now??? Still not? Right, the following link WILL debunk what 'LUEshi' really is...

http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6871/LUEshi4.jpg

I hope you enjoyed that mystery unfolding. :D As for where I find these fucked up things, I get by with a little help from my friends of the LUE board on gamefaqs.com. Of course, LUE is now an exclusive board, of which if you haven't signed up for it at the start of the year, you're basically fucked if you think you're ever going to get on there. Most of you are sitting there wondering what the fuck i'm talking about. :) Don't worry, i'm used to it, and at least if you don't know what LUE is, you won't feel the pain of knowing what you're missing; cos' you don't. :D if you're REALLY that wrapped up in wondering what this place is all about, I can provide a link to a history of the board. The board which invaded Conan O' Brien's very own TV show. The board which shopped a paedophile to the police after his son slipped up on the board. The board which has gamefaqs' top brass literally sat there shaking, wondering what the fuck next they're going to do... it's fucking great. :D

If you're wondering why I haven't updated in a short while, i'm working on the huge update with more of those crazy, zany, fucked up, wacky wanky links, that I know for a fact my readers love and cherish. As a teaser taste of what you can expect... here's a few site descriptions i've so far typed up... :D

"I'm sorry, but anyone who creates a 3ft tall WORKING Gameboy...."
"We've ALL wondered how different cultures orgasm around the world, so the following movie clip..."
"Hands up who went to see Spiderman 2? (Thrusts two hands up) Hands up who saw him reviewing Crayola Crayons? (Silence)..."
"You like your porn? Yeah!!! Like your TOYS? YEAH!!!..."
"Cactus's aren't fun. Aren't famous. Aren't anything really. Unless you're one planted next to David Blunkett..."

You know it's going to be good. Brace yourselves, because the next update is going to be a doozy! Au revoirski...

Fucking deja vu... didn't I mention this a few posts back as part of a PS??? Well the fucker just happened, that SAME deja vu experience from that post. I'm gonna get to the bottom of this sooner or later... god it borders on scary...

Ok, so now i'm OFFICIALLY pissed. I was posting a HUGGGGGE blog of mine, which I know you lot like because it's where I go round rooting for funny / fucked up / amazing sites for you all to peruse cos' you haven't got a fucking clue where to look on the net. And then the electricity went. And I lost it. Everything. All 20 links, with descriptions. So i'm not a happy chappy right now. God I fucking hate this house. I will at least you with what was to be the first link...

The Salad Fingers series is legendary on the boards I go to, which are full of pathetic losers who watch these very dark, disturbing cartoon's trying to figure out what the fuck it all means (looks in the mirror). The animation's basic feeling, but very vibrant and colourful. The dialogue... just scary. The story... who knows? Give them a try, and see what you can make of them, but as I said, they ARE very weird and worrying. So try at your own risk.

And just to prove how cultish this series has become, check out this very in-depth theory site about the cartoons. I'm not kidding.

So Big Brother 5 finished last night, and while I didn't agree with the winner (Jason should have won all the way), she was at least the best female housemate this year; despite the fact she's really a man. Ain't that ironic? The last female housemate to leave the house this year was also the least female of them all. Funny, but true. But at least the series as a whole was fantastic, the best so far. I know there's a lot of you out there who disagree with the show, but for me, it's the ONLY TV show out there. Until Big Bro 6, the only TV i'll watch is either the news, football, or re-runs of old cartoon's / comedy shows I like. Modern TV is shit, and always will be. Big Brother is my one exception to the rule, and sometimes is the one thing that keeps me going sometimes! :) But it's over now, and I just have to twiddle my thumbs until the next series comes around. Who knows, maybe yours truly will end up finding himself on there! :P We can only wish...

A few people have been picking up on me seeming different lately. I didn't know what they were talking about a week or two ago, but just very, VERY recently (like yesterday), I started feeling lonely. Not friendship wise, i've got more friends than you can shake a dildo at, I guess it's stemming back to that person who can be closer than even your best friend. I for one know that having a girlfriend / boyfriend / animal, as a partner isn't everything, but once you've tasted it that first time, and then a second, and so on, after losing it, you always seem to demand more of it. Or don't. I mean I DID after breaking up with Sarah, then for about 6 or 7 months I was happy and single, fine with my status, and now, I dunno, i've just been thinking a lot really... just get on with it and see what happens really isn't it? Go with the flow, and be ready to take on whatever comes your way... but boy does it come after LONG periods of nothing...

A lot of confused people in my life at the moment. Hey, maybe i'm in that boat too! :D But seriously, from the top of my head, I can think of at least 4 people close to me who are fucking themselves up over certain situations in their lives. They'll pull through it, I know they're strong enough to do that. I'm more curious as to how they're going to go about doing it that's all... I have faith in them though, and i'm sure they won't fuck things up for themselves, at least anymore than they already are! :) Have belief in yourselves, stick with what you know best, and it'll all come flooding home to you just how much you can accomplish if you put your mind to it.

First of all, thank you to the people who left comments, and who spoke to me face to face about my last blog, which spoke about The Mirror's shitty article about the fantastic video game Manhunt influencing a child to kill another. Video game censorship, heck, censorship in general is something I feel very passionate about, and when I see it being abused and for the wrong reasons, it really boils my... er... skin. I think. So again, thank you to the people who proved to me that not everyone out there is a simple-minded fool.

This weather... I gotta admit, it's a horrible feeling to have very warm temperatures while it's pissing down, because for once, the two opposites don't seem to cancel eachother out; instead, we're presented with these lame excuses for thunderstorms. Still, you've gotta be grateful we don't have storms of the magnitude where our homes would be flooded out, and our electricity on the blink. That'd be horrendous, and for some countries out there, it's an all too common reality. So enjoy the thunderstorms while you can, and be thankful they're not here all the time.

Had a very fucked up, funny, and intriguing weekend at the Gray-Z-House. Becky Gray (who's birthday it was) had hired a bouncy castle out for the majority of Sunday, and overnight to Monday morn. We suffered a broken collar bone, a sprained wrist, and many individuals with aching muscles. Bouncy Castles for kids??? I hope it fucking stays that way!!! :P

Check out the prices for this very rare and old Playstation 1 video game:

http://search.ebay.co.uk/suikoden_W0QQmaxrecordsreturnedZ300QQsalocatedincountryZ3QQsbrsrtZlQQsocurrencydisplayZ2QQsorecordsperpageZ50QQsosortorderZ2QQsosortpropertyZ3

Shit, I just realised I just so happened to have picked a day where the bids are still early and there's no mad rushes. FUCK-SHIT!!! Well, Suikoden 1, is a very old and rare collector's item nowadays, which generally sells on ebay for anything between £50 - 70. This is for a videogame. A SECOND-HAND videogame at that. And a game I have been after for years but have never been able to find find at a reasonable price (I don't cvare what anyone says, rare or not rare, £70 for a second hand PS1 game is a fucking farce). Yesterday, my little brother dragged me into the cash convertors in Dovecot, and there before me stood the thing that would make me the happiest guy on earth at that moment. A second-hand copy (albeit with a slightly broken case) of Suikoden, going for... £6. to say I rushed over to grab it was an understatement. I will NEVER sell this game. It's a prized treasure in my collection now, and to those buying it on ebay for extortionate amounts of cash; you fucking fools! :D
