It's been a while...
Big Brother 7 is iffy, the World Cup team is looking iffy, the weather's confusing, and I just finished watching the 2nd series of Lost (So THAT'S why the plane crashed!!! *Slaps forehead). Life's pretty sweet as of late tho my health ain't. I always seem to be ill when Naomi's coming up to be with me!!! ARGH!!! Always the way... it'll be a cold, runny nose, wheezy chest, bad throat, constant headaches, itchy cough... ARGH!!! Why can't I just be constantly healthy like everyone else always seems to be? :(
I have no excuse for being away so long, it just happened like that. What can I say, i'm a lazy cunt. Maybe i'll pick it up again, but then Naomi's up here for 2 - 3 weeks so I can't promise anything for sure. She comes first... and I come seco*Gets blasted by shotgun*

People who take shit you need without asking = ARGH!!!
The big news this week has been the inclusion of Theo Walcott into England's 2006 World Cup Squad. Personally? I hope to god he sinks and burns. Sven has fucked himself up BIG time with this. He's took someone to the world Cup who is 17. Now, the age itself isn't usually a factor, but when you couple this with the fact the guy has never even played a Premier League game, you've got to start scratching your head. I see two vastly different outcomes to this, both ending with misery for Eriksson:
1. Walcott goes to the World Cup and sees some action, but fails miserably. He has a SHITLOAD to live up to, and nevermind trying to make his name in the Premiership, but he simply won't do it in the World Cup. This kid is being thrown head first into the biggest tournament in the world with no top-flight experience.
2. He doesn't even see any play-time because Sven opts to go with more experienced strikers (PRAY for this), but then this leaves the public AND Sven with a bit of a dilemma; Walcott has immediately become the next big thing, and sadly for us British, HE WILL become the next Posh & Becks / Wayne & Colleen (is there ANYONE out there who doesn't find this thing repugnant?). As if we don't have enough celebrity exposure across the news, the papers, and the internet, we're gonna be having yet another football couple thrown at us. But if he doesn't play the games he's suddenly being hailed our saviour for, what then? Will the papers continue to glorify this guy and the schoolgirl (the next Colleen) he's dating, or will they just act as if it never happened and continue to go on about Shrek & Tango Girl / Posh & Becks?
Some of you may wonder where the option of Walcott playing his boots off is. I simply can't see this happening. I'd LOVE to be proven wrong, but Walcott is not going to surprise us. Even if he does play at all, expect only sub-standard performances. The other teams in our groups must be pissing themselves at the fact our nation has suddenly branded a Championship League player as our hero for the World Cup... let's get behind Peter Crouch instead, he's the guy who WILL be having to play most of the attacker's role for England.
If Walcott DOES become a staple for this tournament... we're gonna have no chance of winning it. Though I never did think we would anyway.
I was looking forward to this World Cup, and now i'm feeling angry about it cos' it's suddenly turned into the Wal Cott. Wayne Rooney must be devastated. His big news break has now become tiny paragraphs cos' of a kid who is in a position he once was.

It's a funny old world we live in, it really is. Sometimes I don't know whether i'm coming or going in it. Often you wonder if what you're doing is ever even going to be appreciated, and though you believe deep down inside it WILL be, you can't help but less the pessimistic side of you bubble up to the surface.
Is it wrong to remain true to yourself? If say, you haven't changed in years, and suddenly a person you've known for a long time disagrees with a part of your personality which has ALWAYS been there and they've never previously had a problem with it, should you change to keep them happy, or stay true to yourself? Sometimes I just don't know what the right thing to do is in this world of ours. Feel like I have to watch if I sneeze cos' i'll offend someone, or i'm scared to open a door for someone because they're worried I have deeper hidden motives for doing so.
I wish we could just accept eachother for who we are. Respect eachother's decisions, likes, dislikes, whatever, and just get along with eachother. Why would we want to change people to be more like ourselves? In that case, if you had your own way, you'd have a world FULL of copies of yourself and it would hardly make for the most interesting society if everyone was the same.
I wish I had a straight solid answer, but nowadays I don't seem to. I always seem to be wondering, never answering.
On a sidenote, I applied for a great sounding job only two days ago, full-time too, and they've already got back in touch to tell me they're gonna let me know about the recruitment process! :) I'm extremely happy with this change of events, and I hope something comes of this because, while Music Zone is an ok place to work, it can be pretty monotonous and considering there's no near-future hope of full-time work there, I simply can't wait that long on shitty part-time hours. Viva la career change!

The sun can't cheer me up right now.
And I don't really know what else to say. However, i've made a promise to someone that I won't say anything, and so i'm forced to eat away at myself like a cannibal. Metaphorically speaking. And even i didn't find that funny.
And now you're standing on a rocky ledge,
Staring down into a heartless sea,
Can't face life on a razor's edge,
Nothing's what you thought it would be.
All of us get lost in the darkness,
Dreamers learn to stare at the stars,
All of us do time in the gutter,
Dreamers turn to look at the cars,
Turn around and walk the razor's edge...
Don't turn your back and slam the door on me.

Praise be to Skippy for the wonderful comment she left on the last post I made.
It's hit that time of the year where, well, in my case, the weather is good enough that you find yourself waking up of a morning, stepping out into that glorious sunshine, and purposefully ignore the still-cold wind because that glorious blue near cloudless sky is simply a sight to behold after months of winter turmoil... *Takes HUGE breath* I love it. You can even feel the sun's warmth starting to slowly but surely creep through to our bodies. :) We had a game of footy last Thursday and a few of us even came away from it with a hint of sunburn to show for it; my brother came away looking like a ribena berry. Poor fucker. :D
Enjoy this coming weather, it looks like we may be up for a truly WONDERFUL summer. Sadly it's no doubt due to global warming, but for the short-term future let's just enjoy these higher temperatures. I know I bloody well will be.

It's amazing what some people will do for the perfect vision of happiness. Someone I know has just told me she's become engaged to a guy who pretty much comes off a twat. And this opinion has come from what SHE has told me. And i'm apparently not the only one who is shocked by this sudden announcement...
I just think a lot of people are happy to go diving for the first thing that comes along, in fear that the same opportunity won't arise again. I'm with girlfriend number 3, after two failed relationships. I could have threw everything I had into the first girl; got engaged, got her pregnant, truly have myself thrown in at the deep end. But I didn't. It didn't work out, we both realised that, and we moved on. The second relationship... you all know pretty much what happened with that, and while it was more serious, we were both still lucky to come out of it unscathed in the long term.
This relationship could be the one for me. The one I would be more than happy to see myself being in for the rest of my life. But i've been lucky in this respect. Some people are blinded and panic with relationships, thinking each new one is immediately 'the one'.
Just take your time, for YOUR sake... if you go diving head-first into everything that comes your way, you're risking the real possibility of being hurt, and in a bad way too. I'm not saying you should be cautious with EVERYTHING... I mean jesus, you can still turn the telly on hastily! :P But consider the things that can and will change your life... because quite often these are events which you don't get 2nd chances at.

I hate being unhappy. I just absolutely hate it. Of course, I sincerely doubt anyone out there actually enjoys it, but as i'm rarely unhappy, when I am, it hits me for six.
I've been unhappy for just under 24 hours now. The reason i won't divulge, but when it set on me... argh. I don't know what to do when i'm sad. My usual answer is to try to bury myself in a book, try and indulge in a movie, listen to music which coincides with my mood (Harvey Danger FTW), anything to just take my mind off it. But it rarely works.
Sometimes I wish there was someone there who could just yank me out of these pits of depression, slap me about a bit, and put a temporary smile on my face. Not necessarily a partner, but more of a... kindred spirit. Someone who knows what you're going through and can show just how different things can be. I have a few people i'd love to ring up and just talk to in the hope it might bring me back up but then I imagine i'd only be getting in the way, or pissing them off with my miserable mood.
I'm not good with this kinda thing, and usually just slither away into my own little spot. I think that's what i'll do right now.

If you know me at all well, you'll know i'm an absolute geek for dvd's. Fucking love em'. However, I have a problem with buying dvd's and then not watching them, THEN buying more dvd's and so on and so on. I currently have over 300 dvd's in my OWN collection, our house probably houses at least another 200 more. All originals too, no copies. So, i've decided that, with the money i'm recklessly throwing out at new dvd's, i'm going to go through and watch ALL the films I haven't watched yet. Watch them all, and only then will I allow myself to buy more. This has a few positives to it.
1. In the time it takes me to watch all the films I need to, dvd's that are out now may have gone down in price.
2. I won't have movie's sitting there forever that were bought for the sake of it (I do buy for the sake of it)
3. I'll also hopefully broaden my horizons a little more!
The films in the pipeline are films i've either never seen or have seen but haven't watched since buying the dvd. I WILL watch these before buying more...
FILMS I HAVEN'T SEEN YET
About a Boy
Ali
Blow
The Bourne Supremacy
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

In the Name of the Father

My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Papillon
Predator
Rocky I

Ho, ho, holy shit. There's just over 50 films there... i'm gonna be busy. How much will I save tho? THAT's the cool part. I shall save this list and tick off what I watched and so on. Wish me luck, my buying dvd's is an addictions, and now i've got over 100 hours of film to watch before I can even consider buying more. Noooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

So I received this e-mail from a good friend of mine today, who shall remain nameless:
Hey it is Andy and john the directors of MSN, sorry for the interruption
but msn is closing down. this is because too many inconsiderate people are taking up all the name (eg making up lots of different accounts for
just one person), we only have 578 names left. If you would like to close
your account, DO NOT SEND THIS MESSAGE ON. If you would like to keep your account, then SEND THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST. This is no joke, we will be shutting down the servers. Send it on, thanks. WHO EVER DOES NOT SEND THIS MESSEAGE, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CLOSED AND YOU WILL COST £10.00 A MONTH TO USE. SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT
LIST. NOW YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD THIS or REPLAY. COPY THE WHOLE EMAIL. GO BACK TO YOUR INBOX AND CLICK ON NEW. AND PASTE THANK YOU FOR
YOUR ATTENTION
hey everyone,
i dont normally send this sort of stuff out but had a look on the internet
and its actually true . On the 1st of november , we will have to pay for
the
use of our MSN and email accounts unless we send this message to at least
18
contacts on your contact list. It's no joke if you don't believe me then go
to the site ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/1189119.stm ) and see for
yourself. Anyways once you've sent this message to at least 18 contacts ,
your msn dude will become blue. please copy and paste don't forward cos
people won't take notice of it.
Now, e-mails like this REALLY piss me off, and in my usual fashion, i'll tell you why. First of all, which professional company makes as many grammatical / spelling / capitalising errors like this one supposedly does? There are 3 instances where letters should be capitalised in the opening two sentences for starters. This next bizarrely paragraphed section is pretty funny:
too many inconsiderate people are taking up all the name (eg making up lots of different accounts for

Inconsiderate people hey? MSN offered the Hotmail service to us, we can make as many accounts as we like. As for there only being supposedly 578 usernames left in the database, I mean come on! SERIOUSLY! :D I'm sure the likes of fhfhjhfkhgjkhg@hotmail.com, and ghguetyetyff478we4738@msn.com were snapped up ages ago. There will never be a shortage of usernames to sign up with. Why do you think MSN close accounts that haven't been used after a period? They close those names, and then put them back on the market for people to snap up. The above, is fucked up.
And what the fuck is this???
YOU WILL COST £10.00 A MONTH TO USE.
Oh will I know? If you're gonna use me, you better be a chick. i.e. this is one fucked up grammatical error which could have easily been avoided, and WOULD have been by any sensible company. But the retard who sent this out was either typing too fast, or was cracking one off while doing so and created yet another error.

If the above is true, then somehow Microsoft are applying counter's to e-mails we're sending around. Ya know that e-mail ya sent with the funny picture, and then it got sent on again, and again?? Microsoft must be adding up the numbers of who it's being sent to. Why? WHO THE FUCK KNOWS? They can, and will. LOLZ. Ahem. NO-ONE is keeping tabs on where this e-mail is going, and if the e-mail WAS legit, it would be pretty impossible to keep tabs on whose sending and receiving this hunk of junk. It ain't happening people. And they recommend that we copy and paste; what the fuck did you expect me to do?? Type out the whole fucking letter??

Whoever dreamt up this fucking thing reckons we ONLY have until 1st November to get this mission accomplished. But what year??? And why 18 contacts? Why not a nice round 20?? Anywho, here's the 'proof'...

Granted, the link takes you to a legit enough looking BBC news page, but wonderfully, the article is listed as being from Sunday, 25 February, 2001, 11:00 GMT. So... over 5 years ago then? Boy am I fucked! I haven't paid for my MSN in over 5 years! At supposedly £60 a year, I owe a big £300 to those bastards at Microsoft. I'm fucked! Oh NOES!
Anyways once you've sent this message to at least 18 contacts ,
your msn dude will become blue. please copy and paste don't forward cos
people won't take notice of it.
Anyways, just fuck off and die. And what the fuck is my 'msn dude'??? Fucking retard. And who the hell even says 'dude' anymore like they're some fucking cool individual?? And what's this about having to forward, otherwise people won't notice it? Sadly, anyway you get this e-mail in your inbox you WILL notice it, and the silly sods out there who believe it will then go e-mail crazy and have it sent out to everyone they know. The bottom line is this: NEVER believe chain letters of any kind. I've never understood what the real point of them are. They're pointless and horrible, especially the ones that threaten you if you don't send them on,
SEND THIS LETTAR ON2 17.6 PEEPS OR HAVE YO TESTIES RIPpED OFF MY A PASSING CHAIN! lol
ALWAYS reply to these letters with the simple following message: FUCK OFF AND DIE, TWAT
Always works for me.

Type out the whole fucking letter??
i dont normally send this sort of stuff out but had a look on the internet
and its actually true . On the 1st of november , we will have to pay for
the
use of our MSN and email accounts unless we send this message to at least
18
contacts on your contact list.
Whoever dreamt up this fucking thing reckons we ONLY have until 1st November to get this mission accomplished. But what year??? And why 18 contacts? Why not a nice round 20?? Anywho, here's the 'proof'...
It's no joke if you don't believe me then go
to the site ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/1189119.stm ) and see for
yourself.

For me, it's amazing how refreshing a jog every now and then refreshes you for the day. I've started going for 2 mile jogs, and they're bringing a lot of good out in me, as well as helping me lose the weight i've been trying to, at a much faster rate. I'm looking to try and do 2 miles in around 12, 13 mins. These are my times for the 4 jogs i've done:
1. 18:43.5
2. 17:39.2
3. 17:08.5
4. 16:49.1
Now, I wasn't initially running for times, but I decided to time myself anyway, and noticed the drastic improvements over every new run. So i'll keep timing, and see how good I get. It's not like i'm running in a desperate attempt to shave more seconds off. I'm just jogging really. But it's definitely doing me a whole lot of good. It was tough at first, but i'm pulling through. :)
It's been a while since my last blog and a lot's happened. I got my job back at Music Zone. I'm working at the City Centre store for a month or two before being shipped off to a new store being built right now in Huyton. I can't wait for it, really looking forward to it! Sadly, it means I won't see friends in work as much anymore, but oh well. Some things we have to sacrifice in the process of making ourselves happier. A change will do me good.
Naomi came up for a week and we had the most amazing time. Went to a VERY packed out Blackpool, went the Krazy House again where we both had an excellent night, we went to Eddie Rockett's for the first time (Cheesy chips with bacon FTW) and had a great feed, took Alex out like the little couple we are... just had a bloody fucking good time. :) Things are going great for us, and with our impending anniversary on the 1st April approaching, they will only be getting better!
