It seems like you can't please everyone. Like, something you do for the good of one person pisses off someone else, and vice versa. I wish people could just co-exist and not hate ME because i'm true to myself and sticking to my beliefs. *Cries. A lot.*

On a totally unrelated note, some things you never knew about Music Zone...

1. The Urban fans are the most fucking dirtiest fucks you'd ever meet. Not a day goes by in that place that someone hasn't flicked through all the Jay-Z, Eminem, Usher, Snoop Dogg, Mobb Deep, Neyo, Bow-wow (who apparently ain't so little anymore), and other various mis-spelt hip-hop till you drop be-bop cops, and totally destroyed the section. Urban fans suck ass. Metal fans on the other hand are pretty respectful, that section's always pretty tidy and in order. But urban? FUCK NO!

2. Yes, we really can sell the dvd's and albums that cheap and make a profit. If you see an album for 97p, our company will likely be making about 50p profit on it. It might not seem much, but we'll often get about 100 - 200 copies of that one album through one sale, and that ends up amounting to anywhere between £50 and £100 profit. Might not seem much, but that's just ONE album. We might get another 10 albums at 97p... then there's the ones at 1.97, 2.97, 3.97, etc... that company is making a SHITLOAD, and doesn't dare rise above the national minimum wage for its staff.

3. It really is legal for us to deny a customer a refund on the basis their Uncle Jimmy's already bought it for them, or they didn't like it, or it was the wrong one. We can exchange or give a credit note to the same value but NO refund. IF you want your refund, just tell the staff it's broken or won't work. The establishment is then legally obligated to have to refund your purchase. FTW!

4. We actually get our new releases into the shop about 4 or 5 days before they go on sale. So when you're waiting for the Monday to come when the new Harry Potter dvd, RHCP album, Simpsons box set is released, we'll already have been in their presence days in advance. HOWEVER... the company will not let us purchase them in advance. Ya'd think that with our shitty pay, long hours, boring job, we might get a few perks but oh no, our 10% discount will have to suffice. On a related note, HMV staff receive 30% discount *car swerves and crashes into brick wall*.

5. And finally, when we say if it's not there, we won't have it in stock, we REALLY mean it. Honestly. That is of course, if the staff member has ran off to the back to check there for you. If they haven't, they're likely bull-shitting you just so they can have a peaceful time of it and get a pain-in-the-ass (i.e. you) out of their face. I ALWAYS dash to help customers and will look everywhere, but if I can't see it in the back or on the shelves... if it's not there, we don't have it.

I bet there's loads more I could have told you about Music Zone, but that's all that's come to mind right now. This expose was brought to you by Rainbow Road productions, for all your starry needs! :)
